Founded Through Necessity
In the year 2000, a group of parents of children with cancer gathered to offer emotional and educational support for one another in coping with their great challenges.
As their group grew, they realized that many families were in need of a wide range of support: navigating health care bureaucracy, tending to their mental health, and in providing fun opportunities for their kids to just be kids.
19 years since our founding, Larger Than Life has developed more than 20 programs, ranging from dream trips to Orlando and LA, to psychological treatment services, to financial and logistical assistance. We are proud to have helped more than 15,000 children and their families as they endure the hardships of pediatric cancer.
